Tuesday Night/Wed morning

Last night Zach was awake and talking (they removed the respirator). He was also in a great deal of pain, and pain management is a challenge for the medical staff because too high of dose of pain meds can affect respiration. So they were trying to find a balance.

Clearly one of his biggest challenges right now getting through the pain he's experiencing. (Maybe we can focus our prayers to help him with that.)

He kept telling his Mom that he loves her. He also remembers the accident and was upset that it happened. At one point, he took notice of a big poster on his wall from his friends and neighbors and asked his mom to bring it to him because he wanted to read it.

Surgery looked like it was going to be postponed because Zach was running a fever.

  1. Nancy & Greg,
Thank you for the updates. Our family is following Zach's situation very carefully. Paul is really upset about this, and for the first time, fasted for 24 hours on Sunday - in behalf of Zach. T.J. never fails to include Zach in his family prayers and at meal times. Every day, we are all anxious to hear if there are any positive reports. We love you all! The Cloward's

We are praying that Zach will be able to withstand the pain and that he will continue to improve. We have been touched by the faith and prayers of many of Zach's friends and Ward Members.

We love you and your family.

  4. Hi Greg and Zach and family.
I'm sooo sorry to hear of this. Geez, what a rough road. I'm so sorry. Looks like you have a ton of support, that is so wonderful. I can't believe all of the complications on top of the injuries. Fever, and pneumonia? Temporary induced paralysis? Those are some ridiculous roadblocks! Hang in there you guys. I know you are such a strong family, you'll get through.
